Privacy policy

Keep & Clear runs entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no server of ours, and nothing to collect.

What is collected

Nothing. Keep & Clear has no account and no sign-in, sends no data to any server we operate, and contains no analytics, tracking or advertising of any kind. We cannot see your photos, your decisions, or that you use the app at all.

Photo library access

The app asks for access to your photo library because reviewing it is the entire purpose of the app. You can grant full access or limit it to selected items, and you can change that at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Photos.

Photos and videos are read on the device so that they can be displayed, measured and compared. Nothing is uploaded, copied off the phone, or shared with anyone.

On-device processing

Look-alike detection uses Apple’s Vision framework and runs entirely on the device. The app generates a description of each image locally in order to group near-identical shots. Those descriptions stay on the phone and are never transmitted.

Deletion behaviour

Nothing is ever deleted automatically. Marking a photo or video only records a decision inside the app. When you confirm a set of deletions, the app hands the list to Apple Photos, which shows its own confirmation prompt. Confirmed items move to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps them for 30 days before removing them permanently. You can restore them from there at any point during those 30 days.

What is stored, and where

The following is stored locally on your iPhone, inside the app’s own storage:

• your keep, delete, never-delete and not-sure decisions;
• measured sizes of items in your library;
• on-device image descriptions used for look-alike grouping;
• your settings;
• usage counts, such as how many deletions you have confirmed today, which are never transmitted.

None of this leaves the device.

Purchases

Full access is a one-time $19.99 purchase and is family shareable. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Purchases are handled by the App Store. The app never sees your payment details. Apple’s handling of purchase data is covered byApple’s privacy policy.

How to erase everything

Open Keep & Clear and choose Settings > Delete all Keep & Clear data. That removes every decision, measurement, description and setting the app has stored. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes the same data. Neither action touches your photos.

Children

Keep & Clear is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
